Lily Collins is Hollywood’s brightest new star. The 22-year-old actress currently plays TaylorLautner‘s love-interest in the new thriller, Abduction, graces the latest cover of Teen Vogue, and has two more big movies on the way.
Born in Surrey, England, Lily moved to the United States when she was five years old. As the daughter of rock-star Phil Collins, she has always been near the spotlight. Her career began at a remarkably early age, appearing in the BBC show “Growing Pains” at the age of two, and performing at the Youth Academy for Dramatic Arts by the age of five.
In her teenage years, Lily wrote a column for the British edition of Elle Girl, as well as writing for Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Los Angeles Times Magazine. She has also worked as an on-air correspondent for Nickelodeon. She studied broadcast journalism at the University of South Carolina and modeled part-time. She was named Spain Glamour Magazine‘s International Model of the Year in 2008 and appeared on the cover in August of 2009. Other career highlights include a guest spot on teen hit “90210″, a role in the Oscar-winning film The Blind Side, and in supernatural action flick Priest.
If all of this wasn’t enough, Lily has two huge roles in her future. She has already begun work on a live-action adaptation of Snow White, where she will play the beloved princess. In an in-Studio interview with Young Hollywood, Lily revealed that her version of the Snow White character will have some edge — she is already preparing for fight scenes! She went on to say that the adaptation will put a twist on the original version. Julia Roberts will star opposite Lily as the Evil Queen.
After Snow White, Lily will be go from princess to Shadowhunter in the film adaptation of the hugely successful The Mortal Instruments novels. The first film, City of Bones, will introduce Lily as main character Clarissa Fray.
A writer, model, and actress, Lily Collins can do it all. She has already achieved incredible success, but it is only the beginning for this young star. Lily Collins is talented, down-to-earth, and has the best eyebrows Hollywood has seen in years!
