Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner honored at the hand and footprint ceremony at Graumans Chinese Theatre, in Hollywood, CA on November 3rd.
Today, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner were all honored at Grauman’s Chinese Theatres with a hand and footprint ceremony, immortalizing them as a part of Hollywood history indefinitely.
For the ceremony, Jimmy Kimmel offered up an introduction, teasing that Taylor Lautner’s abs were going to be immortalized as well . . . He was kidding, of course.
Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer offered up a speech to introduce the three, saying that she is “very proud of them because their lives have changed a lot over the last few years and they’ve done it with such class,” and that she owes them a debt of gratitude for their portrayal of her characters in theTwilight Saga films. “Everything that they expend in the service of these characters is really touching to me. I’ll never not be grateful for what they’ve done,” she said.
“I think this is really awesome, and I know how much they appreciate your ardent support,” she told the amassed crowd. “Their lives have changed a lot in the last few years, and they’ve done it with such class and an amazing ability to stay balanced and who they are.”
Rob, Kristen and Taylor each gave their own speeches, thanking Twilighters for their love. And as you may have guessed, the award for most quotable soundbite went to Mr. Pattinson.
“This is incredibly scary, and I also forgot how hot L.A. was. I shouldn’t have worn a suit,” he joked. “Thank you guys so—this is such an indescribable honor for how young we are… You should all come up here and put your hands in!”
Kristen Stewart also said, “I think this is the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Then, Taylor Lautner gushed, “There are a few moments that mean so much it’s just really even hard to explain, and this is definitely one of those. This is really like a dream. It’s such an honor.”
Finally, Robert Pattinson added, “How young we are, it’s ridiculous and amazing at the same time, and it’s all up to you who drive this franchise so thank you.”
