The Twilight Examiner takes a look back at 2011. This year has definitely been full of Twilight extravaganzas!
Twilight stars join Hollywood legends
One big achievement for the Twilight Saga‘s leading trio was being immortalized at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. They join an elite few who’ve received this honor, and they’ve thusly become a part of Hollywood history forever. In their various TV appearances surrounding the event, it was clear that they had a hard time believing the fortune of that honor themselves.
Twilight Humor
You’ve gotta love it when the Twilight cast participates in a funny or two. This year, there were many. Both Michael Sheen and Elizabeth Reaser did hilariously dramatic readings of Twilight fanfiction, for starters. Whoever thought of getting them to do that was sheer genius. Then, Taylor Lautner did a Funny Or Die sketch on the woes of football fans fearing the perpetual lock out earlier this year. Finally, Peter Facinelli and Nikki Reed teamed up for a “Wondertwins” sketch series that had us simultaneously laughing and cringing.
Appearances Far and Wide
As with every year, there were tons of Twilight cast appearances in 2011, be they international press tour stops, Comic-Con panels (where some of the cast, by the way, came out to serve breakfast to fans who camped out for the event), the Twilight convention stop in L.A., awards shows, or the Breaking Dawn premieres themselves. It’s always nice to see their smiling faces, right?
