Both The Twilight Saga and Taylor Lautner were part of Facebook’s Memology 2011 report, which details what people were talking about on Facebook this year.

The Twilight Saga Facebook page was the second most popular movie page for the year, with over twenty-six and a half million people “liking” it, and Taylor Lautner’s Facebook page, which just began this summer, shot up to become the sixth most popular in the category of Actors & TV Personalities.

Given the size and ever-increasing influence of Facebook as a social network, this is a great gauge of what’s popular with the public.

By the way, in case you were wondering why fellow Twilight Saga celebrities like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson weren’t on the list for Facebook Memology 2011, it’s because they don’t have official fan pages (See this listfor official cast social network accounts).
