Ms. Martinez Luque and Her Efforts to Change the world through Art

Norka Martinez Luque was born in 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. Her parents sent her abroad soon after she graduated from high school in her hometown. She resided in France for four years while pursuing a business course. School work did not deter her from pursuing her musical dream. She eventually joined a musical group known as Bad Moon Rising.

Ms. Martinez relocated to Monaco soon after she graduated from the French business school. Her primary intention of moving to Monaco was to look for a business related job. She landed a job in the banking sector of Monaco. Unfortunately, she quit the job soon after realizing that a business career did not work for her.

She moved to the U.S and settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She immediately got down to business and started performing in nightclubs in the Miami area. Her movements in this region enabled her to meet the renowned Latino producer, Emilio Estefan Jr. He gained a special interest in her work soon after he listened to samples of her music.

Emilio Estefan coached her, and soon they released her first album. The first single off this album was released in 2011. It was known as “As You Do It.” This track became a success and was acknowledged in the Latin Music Awards, Premios Lo Nuestro Awards.

Unfortunately, in 2007, medical professionals diagnosed Norka Luque with epilepsy, a condition of the central nervous system. In 2014, her condition took a turn for the worse.

Despite all the setbacks, Norka Luque is a strong woman and is now staging a major comeback. Her latest single dubbed “Tomorrowland” was produced by none other than the Panamanian-Canadian Tropical Urban singer/songwriter Fito Blanko.

Ms. Martinez is inspired by other successful artists including George Michael, Sia, Enrique Iglesias, Jay-Z, Alesso, Beyonce, Bob Sinclair, Nirvana, Shakira, Ricky Martin and Aerosmith.

She is a strong follower of different music genres including R&B, Pop, dance, rap and alternative rock. Apart from music, Ms. Martinez also enjoys playing tennis and traveling. She also finds pleasure in other things such as food and love.

However, it is only a matter of time before her music spreads to the mainstream music community. Currently, most of her fans are from major Latino communities around the world. Follow her on Facebook if you would like to know more about her life and work.
